Black Spot Films is constructed of a collaborative group of motivated industry professionals dedicated to a
higher standard of independent filmmaking.
We believe in creating marketable films founded in strong story-telling and universal appeal.

To achieve such standards. we allocate a substantial amount of time to development and pre-production for
every project we undertake. Paper and pencil is cheaper than film.
Good storytelling is key to the success of any project. The juxtaposition of art and plot can sometimes be a
challenge to balance depending on the genre of film, story and the intent of the filmmaker. Applying a strong
sense of aesthetics towards the over-all design of any production can sometimes overwhelm the structure of
the story. So, to keep these symbiotic forces in harmony, we make sure story comes before art. The evolution
of art in a film will occur naturally through strong collaboration with every key production department.
